We were only in Key West for a half a day. We went snorkeling on some reef that is supposedly great and wonderful and "The third largest reef in the Americas" or something like that. Anyway, it was fun, but didn't seem all that spectacular. It wasn't colorful or anything like we thought it would be. We didn't even see any turtles. But it was a nice day and fun to be in the ocean. My mom got soooo sick on the snorkel excursion and was confined to her bed the rest of the day and night. Oh, sad! And it was New Years! We celebrated the New Year in the middle of the ship with several hundred screaming drunk people. Fun! Actually it was pretty fun. Had we been at home, we probably wouldn't have even stayed up to celebrate. Did I mention my dad is handicapped?

Cruise Day 2-Key West, FL
Cruise Day 3-Cozumel
Day3-Cozumel! Cozumel was beautiful. The weather was great. We went to the Tulum Mayan Ruins on the mainland-which pretty much took all day. It was really neat, but I wished we could have gone swimming and laid out since it was such a nice day. The ruins were right on some cliffs above the ocean and it was so pretty. Everyone should see some ruins. They are neat. Our tour guide-ok, so I can't remember his name-anyway he was really funny and knew a lot about the ruins. It was very interesting. I am doing such a mom pose in the second picture-Ahhh!

Cruise Day 4-evening
After dinner, we went out on the upper deck and it was so windy, those words don't even show you how windy it was. We almost got blown off the ship. Maybe I can post a video. We will see. Anyway, here are some pics of me, Sam, and Wes in the wind.

Our Cruise Day 4-Grand Cayman
Day 4-We stopped in Grand Cayman. This was going to be the funnest place I thought--and then then storm moved in. It was so windy, the captain told us we only had 2 hours on the island, thus we had to cancel our way fun excursion to Sting Ray City. After mosy-ing around for a couple hours we headed back to the ship only to wait in line to get on a tender back to the ship for 5 hours. Yes, we waited in line for 5 hours at which point they decided the waves were too big to load people. So they bused everyone-hundreds of people-to the other side of the island and the ship cruised around the island to pick us up on the other side. It was soooo much fun! We loved every minute of it! Hardy har har!

Our Cruise Day 5
We were supposed to go to Jamaica today, but it was so windy that the swells were "too big" so we couldn't stop-or so they say. It was really sad, but it was worth it--they credited a whopping $4.16 back to our account for not stopping in Jamaica. Wahoo! We just relaxed all day, and ate a lot. You know, the usual on a cruise. This is our waiter, Louis, and his wife, Jade from Trinidad. She was our assistant waiter. They were really nice. The next day-day 6, we didn't stop anywhere, just relaxed, ate and read books. I don't think we took any pics.

Fun in the Snow!

New Camera and Cruise!
Well, we finally bought a new camera right before Christmas. So as soon as I get a spare minute( which probably won't be till next week) I will post some Christmas pics. We spent Christmas in Springville with just our little family and it was actually very nice. We had a very nice relaxing Christmas. Now we are headed to the Caribbean for some sun and relaxation. Yay!

Camera broken
London 7 months!
Jackson eating whipcream only-no pie-on Thanksgiving
Sadly, yes, our camera is broken. It might just be the battery, but we will have to see. So I guess I won't be posting any more pics for a while until we figure out what is wrong with it and get it fixed. Anyway, London started pulling herself up to standing position today and sadly I cannot even take a picture of it. It snowed a bit a few days ago and Jackson loves getting all his snow clothes on, goggles included and going outside to play in the snow. Wes and Jackson built a huge snowman and Jackson loves going out to see it everyday...except today I guess he decided he didn't like it because he and his friend Caleb tried to destroy it...oh well, they had fun doing it. And I didn't get a picture of that either.

Burning Ring of Fire
Ok, so here it is...the famous Jackson singing his rendition of a famous song...one he always likes to share in nursery at church. Yes, at church. This was taken in May, 07.
Thanksgiving Day!

London Discovers Sand
This is my first video clip I’ve ever posted so hopefully it works out. London loved playing in the sand. At the very end of the video, she goes head first into the sand (unfortunately I stopped recording at that exact moment. Hey, how was I supposed to know she would do that?). And then of course like babies do, she opened her mouth and stuck her tongue out into it. It was in her eyes, nose, and mouth, and she didn’t even cry. I think she enjoyed discovering the texture of it. It really is too bad I missed filming the defining point of the moment.

Hiking in St. George
London's first hiking trip. She had it easy!
Our friends, Adam and Jaclyn-Adam is a UPS driver too.
We went on a little hike near Snow Canyon. My parents named this rock Elephant Rock beacuse it looks like elephant skin. Jackson and Wes had a great time climbing up a sandhill and London loved playing in the sand till she went headfirst into it.Thursday, November 8, 2007

More Big Cottonwood get-together
The Nye's doing what they do best: making a fire and cooking food.
Jackson always has to do what Max does, or wear his clothes the same. He wouldn't let me put his hood on until Max did. And he only wanted to have his jacket zipped if Max did. Thank goodness they have the same coat, only in different colors!
