Twin Falls Friends Weekend

I spent the weekend with my 3 best friends from high school. We do this once a year where we get together at one of our homes for a weekend with no kids or husbands (babies not walking are allowed) and we talk, eat, talk, talk, talk, eat, talk, go to a movie, go to a restaurant, talk, eat, talk talk talk, and talk some more. It is so fun and refreshing and we all learn so much from each other. Thanks Hilary for hosting this year and for all the yummy treats you made. It was so fun to catch up on each other's lives. I highly recommend doing something like this for any mom.

Uncle Sam

Uncle Sam came to stay with us right after his OCS training in Virginia. He is in the marines and just got back from Marine boot camp for officers. He did great and we are so proud of him! 40% to 50% of candidates get sent home cuz it is so hard. Sam won an award for being the most physically fit in his platoon (out of about 40 or 50 people). He brought Jackson a camo outfit and it looks exactly like the official one he wears. So here they are in their attire. Sam spent about 1/2 hour getting ready for this picture. He even ironed his hat for it....I guess that is how it is in the Marines. Everything is perfect. He says you can tell how good a Marine is by how perfect his sleeves are rolled up.

London didn't get a present, but look how cute she is in this picture...I couldn't resist posting it.

Bear Lake Trip August 09

Our very fun trip to Bear Lake and then continuing on to Rexburg and Island Park. We went to the Nye Fam Reunion in Farmington on Sat, Aug. 1. Then we spent the night in Ogden at the Marriott and then continued on to Bear Lake with the Paul Nye fam where we had a great time.
