Burning Ring of Fire

Ok, so here it is...the famous Jackson singing his rendition of a famous song...one he always likes to share in nursery at church. Yes, at church. This was taken in May, 07.

Thanksgiving Day!

We had a great Thanksgiving at our clubhouse with most of the Nye Family and a part of the Wood Family. We had tons of food, fun and swimming and games. After we had stuffed ourselves, Jackson, Sadie, and Conner were swimming that evening and all the brothers walked into the pool area with their big coats on which Paul had given them as Christmas gifts. Andy wanted to push Wes into the pool so they both started wrestling. Wes put up a good fight, but Andy is just stronger and bigger so just about when Wes was about to go in, an older lady in the pool got out and walked up to them and started yelling at them telling us and them that they were a bad example to the kids, that our family was disgusting and stupid and that we had problems. Well, we didn't like that so we started arguing back that we were just having a little fun, and there was a little brawl involved. Wes' dad took a picture of the lady and she slapped his camera away and pushed him. Then Andy got up in her face. It was pretty funny. Anyway, she said she was going to turn us all in and wanted our names, which no one would give out, so finally she figured out our names were Welker, and she came up to me and said, "It's Welker, isn't it? I am going to turn you in." I just smiled at her and said, "Yep, it is." The lady is in the second picture in the water next to Conner just as she was about to get out of the pool and intervene in our fun.

Happy Thanksgiving!

London Discovers Sand

This is my first video clip I’ve ever posted so hopefully it works out. London loved playing in the sand. At the very end of the video, she goes head first into the sand (unfortunately I stopped recording at that exact moment. Hey, how was I supposed to know she would do that?). And then of course like babies do, she opened her mouth and stuck her tongue out into it. It was in her eyes, nose, and mouth, and she didn’t even cry. I think she enjoyed discovering the texture of it. It really is too bad I missed filming the defining point of the moment.

Hiking in St. George

London's first hiking trip. She had it easy!
Our friends, Adam and Jaclyn-Adam is a UPS driver too.
We went on a little hike near Snow Canyon. My parents named this rock Elephant Rock beacuse it looks like elephant skin. Jackson and Wes had a great time climbing up a sandhill and London loved playing in the sand till she went headfirst into it.

More Big Cottonwood get-together

Uncle Dave holding London. He wouldn't put her down
the whole evening. He even asked if he could take her
home. I told him he could take her for the weekend if he
took Jackson too...ha ha

The Nye's doing what they do best: making a fire and cooking food.

Jackson always has to do what Max does, or wear his clothes the same. He wouldn't let me put his hood on until Max did. And he only wanted to have his jacket zipped if Max did. Thank goodness they have the same coat, only in different colors!

Cookout up Big Cottonwood Canyon, 10-28-07

We went up the "canyang" as Jackson puts it, with
Wes' family and cooked food and had a great time.
London was all bundled up and looked so cute as always.
We always have a fun time with the Nye's.

I caught Jackson in mid-kick while he was playing soccer.
I just thought this pic was so funny.

Then Jackson chased the ball into the creek and got his shoes
and pants soaking wet. He cried of course and then sat by the fire the rest of the night.

Jackson learns about Joseph Smith

Wes told him all about Joseph Smith and Jackson
was very interested.

London and Grandpa Nye make quite a team. Grandpa is
the oldest Nye in the family and London is the youngest Nye
in the family...but not for long...we got the news that
Steve and Dana are expecting! We are excited for them!

Pumpkins!

Hi everyone! We saw a pumpkin like this in a Pottery Barn magazine and thought it was cool, so Wes got to work creating our own Pottery Barn pumpkin. He is so crafty! Jackson loved his scary Halloween shirt with bones!
