It is Finished!

Yea, we finally finished it! It was a hard weekend and the beadboard took a lot more work than I expected, just cause I had no idea what to expect. Thank goodness for my awesome husband who did an great job and worked so hard on it. He also had to deal with me-telling me and showing me what to do every step of the way. Sometimes I felt like such an idiot and I am sure I did some pretty dumb things-you know, like not knowing what a block plane is or not knowing the difference between a jigsaw and a skillsaw, or not knowing how to caulk a hole. But all in all it turned out pretty great! And thank you very much to Dave-Wes' brother who makes the beadboard and gave us a really good deal on it.

London's future room
The Family Room
Jackson's room-I love his beadboard. I was worried, but it turned out great!
Pre-carpet, cleaning up
Jackson's first night in his new room!

It looks great guys! You are going to have so much FUN in your new space. How did Jackson do being all alone in the deep, dark basement where all the monsters live? (don't read this to him, don't want to give him any ideas!)

SOme day. (I am glad you have a post of this, I felt bad that I didn't leave a comment on the work in progress post...I loved it then too).
