Last Sunday Jackson came home from his primary class with a list of chores he could do around the house. So the other day, he woke up and completed everything on the list, which included:1.Sweep the floor: He pulled out the broom and swept back and forth (not very helpful, but very cute)
2.Fold your clothes: He pulled his clothes out of his drawers and folded them, then put them away.
3.Clean up your toys: Our basement had toys allllllll over and he cleaned them all up by himself and put them in all the right places. I was so excited!
4.Make your bed: He made his bed very nicely.
5.Take out the garbage: He had the most determined look on his face as he walked out the front door. I said, "where are you going?" to which he replied, "I'm taking the garbage out!" Then he dragged our garbage can all the way to the street. I tried to explain that it wasn't garbage day, but he wouldn't have any of that. It was so fun to have him help so much and be excited about it.
I will really have to thank his teacher!

That is SO cute! What a cute boy!
When Jake was about that age he was really excited about helping. That is when I taught him how to clean his own bathroom and do his own laundry...seriously! He would sort (good for math skills) then I would go with him to the washer and he would switch the knobs to the right load size and I taught him the temps. I would hand him a capful of detergent then he would push start. He also transferred them to the dryer and then folded and put them away! OH what a help that is! He loves it and I love it! You should try it with Jackson!
