Saundra Update

Hello everyone. Just an update on Saundra. She was having bad stomach pain Saturday morning. That day we ate at Cafe Rio, which Saundra didn't eat that much and had to go lay in the car. We then went to the pool where Saun laid down almost the whole time because of bad stomach pain. When we got home she went right to bed with the same pain. At nine pm I took here to the instacare in Orem to get checked out. The doctor thought it was her Gall Bladder but didn't know for sure and wanted her to get an ultrasound the next morning at the hospital. Sunday morning Saundra went to the hospital to get the ultrasound and has been there ever since. She went in for surgery at 1 pm and got out at 630 pm. The surgery was only to last one hour but lasted five and a half because of other complications. Her Gall Bladder was full of stones and was removed. The doctor could not believe she didn't have more pain sooner. One stone was lodged in a valve and was working its way through the duct (tube). So now she is in recovery and will be staying three nights, high on morphine. Here is a pic of her before she went in for surgery. She looks a little jaundice because the stone was blocking off the duct from her liver to small intestine. She is in a lot of pain but doing well.
