Snow!

We have received so much snow these past couple days so every morning for the last 3 days I have had to spend 20 sweatbreaking minutes finding and getting the snowclothes on the kids. It's not so bad since the whole time I get them ready I am thinking I am going to get a good half hour of peace and quiet while they play outside, so it's worth it, right? No, they only spend about 5 minutes outside then they want to come in because they are cold. AAAHHH!
But they do look so cute in their snow clothes.

My expression after about 5 minutes and I hear them knocking on the door to come in.

Wes checked the insulation in the attic and Jackson wanted so badly to go up there with him. He cried and cried till we finally said ok, then he cried and cried cause he was scared to get up there. He looks like he is smiling in this picutre, but no, he was crying the whole time.

Our Christmas tree. It looks kind of ghetto in this picture, but it is really pretty with the lights on. The kids love it. It finally feels like Christmas with it up.

Been there ---- done that --- the kids getting out in the snow and coming in 5 minutes later --- I know -- I know. I DO love the ghetto tree --- and it has more character because you went to the mountains and cut it and tied it on and took it clear home from Idaho. I think that's way more fun than buying it in a "tree lot." And I'll bet it Does look good with the lights on it at night.

I LOVE the pic of your expression. I can only imagine! How much snow have you received? Andy thinks I'm a weirdo, but I am so bummed that you are all getting snow and our forecast is sunny and cold, no snow :( We definitely miss you guys - thanks for posting pics!

That is waaaay tooo funny! I just did that same thing this morning! And somehow he lost one of his gloves in the house before we even went outside!!! I still have not found it and I think he only lasted two minutes since his little hands froze!:) We'll have to pull them in sleds one day this week!:)

Ok, I have to correct myself (mostly for Claudia) and say that I do not think our tree is ghetto. I actually love our tree and think it is beautiful. What I think makes it look ghetto are our decorations, especially when the lights are not on. When they are on, it is very nice.

Also, I must add, that I despise blue Christmas ornaments and last year Wes bought a bunch of blue balls on sale, so that is what we used this year to decorate and it just isn't my taste. Blue is not a very Christmasy color to me. But the kids loved putting the balls on so that's all that really matters.
