Do you have a tail?
Tonight as I was putting the kids to bed, Jackson asked me a question and here is our hilarious conversation:
Jackson: Mommy, do you have a tail?
Me: Yep, I do.
Jacks: You do!? What does it look like?
Me: It's big and fluffy like a raccoon.
Jacks: Can I see it? Please, please please, please!
Me: Nope, no one has ever seen it, except Daddy.
Jacks: That's not fair! Please show us! We are your family!
Me: I can't. No one can ever see it. Daddy has one too. His is a dinosaur tail.
Jacks: What? I wanna see it! Please please show it to me!
(Then, Jackson starts whining and the tears start to glisten in his eyes).
Jacks: Please, please, please show me your tail!!!!!!!!
Me: Jackson, I can't show you my tail.
London: I have a tail too. It's a princess tail.
Jackson: PLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASE show me your tail!
Me: Jackson, I can't show you my tail because I don't have one. I am just teasing.
Jacks: You don't have a tail? (The he busts out laughing.)
Jacks: (In all seriousness he says) I wish I had a tail so so bad so that I could swing it and grab things with it. Did you know that Max grows a monkey tail when he drinks hot chocolate. He told me.
Me: Do you really think that Max grows a tail? I think he is just teasing you.
Then, Jackson busts out laughing again like I think he knows how silly it would be to have a tail, but he really really wants one. I laughed so hard right along with him. He is so much fun. I love the things that go through his head.

I don't think you want me to show Jackson MY tail though. Don't tell him I really have one or you won't hear the end of it! ;-)
That's so cute. Fun to have conversations like that happen. Write them down -- I promise --- down the road you won't remember all those fun things they said and did.

Oh Saundra, that is hilarious! After seeing his little personality in person, it's even funnier to me.
We are in on the camping! What's your plans for the 24th weekend? That's probably a horrible time to camp however.
