Fun Ladies Weekend

My 3 best friends from highschool and I got together for the weekend for our 3rd annual Fun Ladies Weekend. I hosted it this year at my house and we had a wonderful time. Jenny on the left came from Moscow Idaho; Ellen, on my right came from Portland; and Hilary, in the red, came from Twin Falls, Idaho. My sister, Laura also joined us and Ellen's sister Margie hung out with us for a while too. We relaxed, talked about our families and good old times, went to a movie, ate lots of yummy food, laughed, cried, exchanged gifts, learned how to take better care of our teeth (thanks to Laura), and had a fabulous time. We got to stay up late and sleep in and didn't have to worry about anyone but us. Wes took the kids to Rexburg for the weekend so we had the house to ourselves. It was very refreshing. Thanks to my wonderful friends and sister for a very lovely weekend. I am already excited for next year!

Fun Weekend with Daddy!

I sent Wes and kids off to Rexburg while I had my friend's weekend and looks like they had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa Nye's house playing outside, getting potatoes, and hanging out with their cousins. They also went swimming at Green Canyon. These kids never have any fun...

Thank you Wes for taking the kids for the weekend so I could play with my friends. I love you so much. You are the best husband and daddy ever.

Week in Rexburg

We spent all of last week (9/29-10/5) in Rexburg, Island Park, Yellowstone, and Jackson Hole. It was so much fun to get up there and enjoy the fall season. The kids had a great time. Jackson got to go on an airplane ride with Grandpa Wood and Grandpa let him fly the plane. Then he got to ride in the "big nasty" Chevelle SS. I think that was the highlight of his trip. Wes and Jackson went fishing with my dad and Wes' dad and were able to fish 3 different times. I went to 3 movies in one week, which is unheard of! We also went to Yellowstone and saw Old Faithful; and we went to Jackson Hole where we hiked around Jenny Lake and ate at the famous Billy's Burgers. The weather was gorgeous! It was fun to hang out with our families. We got to spend time with Chelsea and Riley, Uncle Sam, Grandpa and Grandma Nye, and Grandpa and Grandma Wood. We had a great time and thank you to all our family for hanging out with us and having fun. (After I posted these pictures, I realized they are all out of order, but it will take too long to fix, so I am leaving it this way.)

Potato Harvest!

We went to the farm to get potatoes and we got some great pictures of my dad's fields.
I think this is winter wheat so it's green right now.
My dad's field, and potato pit in the background.
My Uncle Jamie raises elk on his farm which is in the same area as our farm, so we took a picture. I think these are baby's from this spring, but I don't really know.
Driving back to Springville after a fun week.
We stopped in Kaysville to see Andy and Brianna before they leave on their 2 month long vacation to Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. Have a great time! We love you guys!

Me and my precious boy with all the potatoes
Jackson climbing up the piler. This belt carries the potatoes from the truck to the pit where it piles them nicely in a pile. The piler piles the potatoes in a pile. Ha ha. Hence, the name "piler."

City of Rocks Idaho

We went to City of Rocks in Idaho last weekend with the whole Wood family (minus Bryan), we and had a great time. City of Rocks is located near Burley, Idaho and is a haven for rock climbers. Chelsea and Riley, and Sam are really into rock climbing and they planned the trip for us. Even though none of the rest of us climbed, we still had a great time. Oh, wait, I guess my mom climbed too, but I missed it. My 50+ mom climbed up a huge rock and I didn't get one picture of it. Dang! Jackson wanted to climb so badly. It was hard to keep him on the ground. We slept in tents and my dad brought his trailer as well. It was a really great time!
