Week in Rexburg

We spent all of last week (9/29-10/5) in Rexburg, Island Park, Yellowstone, and Jackson Hole. It was so much fun to get up there and enjoy the fall season. The kids had a great time. Jackson got to go on an airplane ride with Grandpa Wood and Grandpa let him fly the plane. Then he got to ride in the "big nasty" Chevelle SS. I think that was the highlight of his trip. Wes and Jackson went fishing with my dad and Wes' dad and were able to fish 3 different times. I went to 3 movies in one week, which is unheard of! We also went to Yellowstone and saw Old Faithful; and we went to Jackson Hole where we hiked around Jenny Lake and ate at the famous Billy's Burgers. The weather was gorgeous! It was fun to hang out with our families. We got to spend time with Chelsea and Riley, Uncle Sam, Grandpa and Grandma Nye, and Grandpa and Grandma Wood. We had a great time and thank you to all our family for hanging out with us and having fun. (After I posted these pictures, I realized they are all out of order, but it will take too long to fix, so I am leaving it this way.)

Billy's Burgers-the absolute best burgers ever!

The kiddos watching Old Faithful erupt. This is London's 3rd time here and she is only 1 1/2 years old. That tells you how much we go there.
Fishing at Birch Creek with Grandpa Nye
More of the scenery at Jenny Lake. The leaves were beautiful.

Motorbiking with my dad-this tree has been one of my dad's favorite things since he was 15 years old-it died last year, and he is quite sad about it.
Wes and Grandpa Wood fishing on Henry's Lake. They caught about 30 fish between the 2 of them.

Fun times at the cabby-bin playing in the lofts.

Potato Harvest!

We went to the farm to get potatoes and we got some great pictures of my dad's fields.
I think this is winter wheat so it's green right now.
My dad's field, and potato pit in the background.
My Uncle Jamie raises elk on his farm which is in the same area as our farm, so we took a picture. I think these are baby's from this spring, but I don't really know.
Driving back to Springville after a fun week.
We stopped in Kaysville to see Andy and Brianna before they leave on their 2 month long vacation to Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. Have a great time! We love you guys!
Getting potatoes from the pit
Freshly dug, Jackson is doing a taste test.
Me and my precious boy with all the potatoes
Jackson climbing up the piler. This belt carries the potatoes from the truck to the pit where it piles them nicely in a pile. The piler piles the potatoes in a pile. Ha ha. Hence, the name "piler."

Another part of my dad's field. It was a beautiful day!

City of Rocks Idaho

We went to City of Rocks in Idaho last weekend with the whole Wood family (minus Bryan), we and had a great time. City of Rocks is located near Burley, Idaho and is a haven for rock climbers. Chelsea and Riley, and Sam are really into rock climbing and they planned the trip for us. Even though none of the rest of us climbed, we still had a great time. Oh, wait, I guess my mom climbed too, but I missed it. My 50+ mom climbed up a huge rock and I didn't get one picture of it. Dang! Jackson wanted to climb so badly. It was hard to keep him on the ground. We slept in tents and my dad brought his trailer as well. It was a really great time!

Jackson burnt his hands on the metal ring that goes around the fire pit. Sad!

Londie loved climbing on the rocks as well

Awesome rock climbing-City of Rocks

I wanted to post some pictures of Chelsea and Riley climbing at City of Rocks, but I realized I only took pictures of Chel on my camera and pictures of Riley and Sam on my sister's camera. So here are a few of Chelsea. She is awesome!
Check out those muscles!
Nice pose!
I think this shot is beautiful! I love it! The clouds were gorgeous and if you look closely you will see a bird in the sky and Chelsea way up high almost to the top of that rock.

Harvest

Here are some vegetables that our garden has produced. Saundra makes great salsa with our fresh tomatoes. Jackson and I have had a lot of fun working in the garden this summer and I guess it's paid off.

Just a few things we have been doing lately...

The kids with Bryan and Grandma Susie at Stuart Falls
J and L with Fioni (Fifi)-Bryan and Lulu's kitty. They both love her to death...literally
Jacks jumping off the diving board-notice no life jacket
Jackson and his fish at Strawberry Res.
Wes took both kids camping alone while I stayed home for a night of R &R.
My hubby is the best!
Stuart Falls again-I love this pic, it's one of my favorites.
One morning while Wes was on his way out the door to work, London snuck out and this is where we found her-in our front yard, soaking wet,in her pj's running thru the sprinklers.
Jackson and Roger (Bryan and Lulu's boy kitty)
Jackson's soccer team. His coach has blue hair and now Jackson really wants blue hair too.
Max and Jackson at the BYU-UCLA game...we won 59-0
