Share a Smile Triathlon-August 23rd

I finished my first triathlon and I had so much fun! I swam 1/4 mile, biked 10 miles and ran 5k. I really enjoyed it and want to do it again next year. My parents came down to support me and Wes and the kids came too. I was so glad they were all there. My sister ran a 1/2 marathon that same day and she did great! We had lots of fun. My mom decided to run with me at the very end. She is such a good mom. And I wanted to especially thank my friend Lindsey who got me to do it in the first place and helped me out with training.Wednesday, August 20, 2008
Jackson's first day of Preschool!

Jackson went to his first day of preschool today. He was so excited and looked so handsome. He would not let me walk him to the door. He wanted to do it all by himself. This is the necklace he made today out of straws and beads. He was so pleased with it. He is such a sweet boy with a lot of will power. We are so happy to have him in our family. We love you Jackson!Jackson's Chores
Last Sunday Jackson came home from his primary class with a list of chores he could do around the house. So the other day, he woke up and completed everything on the list, which included:Tuesday, August 12, 2008
Our wonderful garden!
Look how pretty our front yard is. Wes does such a good job of planting the flowers and watering them and making them look good while I relax and read my book. Isn't he such an awesome husband?
Pretty tomatoes from our garden.
Our garden-the strawberries aren't doing too well, but it is their first year. The corn is tall, but has no corn husks on it as of yet. We think we will not get any. But the rest of our vegies are doing quite well. Wes planted our garden and takes care of it. He is quite the greenthumb.
Jackson and our apple tree-they are just starting to get some color on them. Girly Girl!

Fun Saturday in Park City
Last Saturday, Laura came up from St. George, and Grandma Susie came down from Rexburg and we had a great time. Wes, Jackson, London, Aunt Lulu, Grandma Susie, and I went to Park City on Saturday and this day was all about the kiddies. We went to Park City Mt. Resort where they had all sorts of fun things for kids. The funnest was a roller coaster ride that went up the mountain and down (kind of like the Alpine Slide). Only Jackson and Wes went on it, but they said it was awesome. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it. What I did get a picture of was.................................
The kids riding the carousel with Grandma
The helicopter sucking up a load of water to dump on the fire up Provo Canyon. We got so close to the helicopter that water was spraying on us through our car windows and it felt very dangerous.....hee hee hee.
Our pet bird, Flower. He is a baby bird from a nest in our tree. He left the nest and is learning to fly. Until he can learn to fly properly, he has taken up residence in our dense bushes and flowers in the front of our house. We see him every day.
Jackson's last swim lesson earlier that morning. Get a load of the look on his face.
London kissing a horse
Jackson bungee jumping on a trampoline. He was able to jump very very high.
A beautiful wild flower in my Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Richards' yard-ok, not exactly wild.
The waiter at the Mexican restaurant taking our orders
The whole reason we went to Park City in the first place-so Jackson could have a ride on a horse. Jorge the horse took Jackson for a fun ride, and Jackson, of course, loved it.Wednesday, July 23, 2008
Late Night with Conan O'Brien
We watched Conan O'Brien the other night and he went to UPS and helped deliver for a day. This video is absolutely hilarious. It is kind of long but well worth watching the whole thing. I don't know if it will be as funny to others as it is to me. You will have to pause our music down on the right hand side to hear the video clip. Enjoy!
Update on our Basement
This is the family room. The funny thing hanging from the wall is the cord bundle for our future flat screen tv which will hang on the wall.
I painted Jackson's room blue. You can't tell in the pic, but it is very very bright. I am not totally sure I love it, but we are putting tan beadboard on the bottom half so hopefully that will tone it down. I think the finished product will look good.
And of course we have to have a pink room for our pink girl. I am also putting beadboard in her room which will match the color of the trim in the bottom of this picture. I was so nervous about painting pink and the whole time I painted I thought maybe I had made a mistake, but now every time I go into this room I absolutely love the color I picked.
And here is the tile in our bathroom. See, it's almost done! Just 2 more weeks! I promise!
