The kids got tons of candy....way too much. They had fun at the trunk or treat and then had a BLAST going from house to house. Then we drove into Provo and stopped at a house that was decorated really scary and the kids loved it.

"My New New Teddie"

Teddie is doing great. I couldn't ask for a better puppy. She sleeps all night long, hasn't had hardly any accidents in the house (none on the carpet), hardly every whines, is great with the kids, and very loving. Don't get me wrong. It is still work taking her outside to do her duty 6-8 times a day, but she is worth it I guess. London call her "my new new Teddie."

All in a hard day's work!

This post is for my siblings who wanted to see. It is pictures of an ongoing project I have in our guest room of pictures of our family. So far, I only have my family done. Don't worry, you Nye's, I haven't started your pics, but they will be there too.

This is what happened after all that hard work.....Just kidding. Actually, this was on another night entirely. I had worked out early that morning. It was about 9pm and I had fallen asleep like this on our bed reading a book. I guess I was tired. I think my knees hurt when I finally woke up.

Bracelets for Sale!

Homemade bracelet for sale? Anyone? Only $2, $4, $5, or $10. Jackson wanted to go around the neighborhood selling his bracelets for these prices. I had to put a stop to that. It is very cute and sweet, but I don't think I want the neighbors pressured into buying a stapled construction paper bracelet for $10. At least he is motivated!

Toxin Cleansing

Last Sunday Wes' friend came over to cleanse the toxins out of us using positively and negatively charged ions. I am not sure what the correct name of the procedure is. Basically, you put your feet in a tub of warm water. He puts in a little "pump" thing, (if it is even that), which is hooked up to a machine that charges the water with positive ions. Then he wraps a strap around your wrist which sends negatively charged ions into your body. The negative ions are attracted to the positive ions in the water and they also attract the toxins in your body. So the negative ions attach to toxins in the body and make their way down to your feet and come out through the pores in the soles of the feet. Ta Da, the body is free of toxins.

So, the guy who does this said this procedure makes you feel better and can really help with joint pain. He says you can do it as often as once a week, or about once a month. After getting this done, I feel exactly the same. I have some foot pain in both of my feet and I didn't feel any different. Wes, however, said his joints and back felt better the next day at work. Who knows if this really works? Does anyone out there know about this?

Jackson's class took a field trip a couple weeks ago to the fire station and I helped carpool the kids. So here we are in the car getting ready to leave the school.

Introducing....Teddie!

Meet the newest addition to our family. A little girl named Teddie after my grandma. I don't think she would have minded. She is a split between a dachshund and a shitzu so I guess she is a shitzund or a dachshit....anyway....we think she is so cute. I'm pretty sure I have my work cut out for me though. She is only 8 weeks old. So here goes potty training... Maybe I should do London at the same time. Does anyone know good inexpensive vet in the area?

We went up in the mountains on Saturday and cooked hotdogs with Jim and Lindsey and the kids. It was beautiful with all the changing leaves. Then we shot guns for a while. It was a lot of fun. I actually hit my targets most of the time. I even shot some clay pigeons with the shotgun and hit them. That was a first. Here I am shooting Wes' pistol.

Pancreatitis......what?

Last weekend I thought I had the flu. My stomach hurt like crazy and I was vomiting. I didn't have chills or a fever though. Finally, on Sunday night, I went to the ER. First I went to UVRMC. I walked into a waiting room with about 30 people in it. I asked the front desk receptionist how long the wait was....Two and a half hours! I was in so much pain and I did not want to wait that long. Also, she asked me what was wrong and I started to tell her my stomach hurt and she just wrote down stomach ache. I knew that was not going to get me in to see the doctor very fast. So I left and Wes took me to Timpanogos Hospital where I walked right in and was the only one in the waiting room. I got hooked up on morphine right away and was very relieved. So they tested my blood and I had PANCREATITIS-inflammation of the pancreas. Apparently this is a common sickness if you are a heavy alcohol drinker. So who knows why I got it. Anyway, I had to be on a clear liquid diet for 2 days and now I am feeling much better. Hopefully that won't happen again.
