So, I am finally home from the hospital. 5 nights and 6 days-about the same length as a nice vacation and whole lot more expensive unfortunately. Anyway, I am feeling pretty good, but my stomach hurts like a really bad side ache. I have a tube protruding from my stomach just below my ribs on the right side. Nothing is coming out of it. It is capped and if I took the cap off, bile would drip out. I have to have it in for 6 weeks. My mom is staying with us for a while to help out while I heal and I am so grateful for her. I don't know what we would have done without her. Thank you Mom!
Also, I must thank my mother-in-law, Claudia for coming to the rescue because I was supposed to be babysitting my niece and 2 nephews this whole week while their parents are on a cruise. So she swooped in and saved the day by taking over that job for me and I can't thank her enough. Thank you and love you Claudia.
Thanks for everyone who visited me, brought me magazines and sent me flowers; thank you for everyone in my ward who brought food to our house so my family wouldn't starve-or have to eat at McDonald's for every meal; and thank you to all of our friends and family who were concerned.
Thank you to my sweet hubby who visited me every night even though he had worked a long day and was starving and who brought me beautiful roses; and thank you to Aunt Lulu and Uncle Bryan who visited me and helped out by doing whatever was needed, and for Lulu for telling me to go to the doctor in the first place. Thanks to Jackson and London for being good sports through it all.
Here are a few fun pics on my last night. As you can tell, I was feeling pretty good. And I had had a long day with no one to visit me till Wes, Lulu, and Jackson showed up with a Jamba Juice.
So in the last four days, I have driven to Orem, Utah fourteen times. I thought I would keep track because it feels like that's all I do anymore, but that's okay because we get to see Mommy. Saundra is doing much better today. They took out her Catheter and her IV and put her on some different pain meds, which doesn't knock her out so bad. She is up walking around a bit but still with a lot of pain. The surgeon came and talked to us today saying she is doing well but won't be home until Thursday or Friday. SAD!!! Jackson, London and I miss her so much. Everyday Jackson tells me how many more nights Mommy will be gone until she gets to come home and he knows exactly the day she will be home. I had to break it to him tonight that Mommy wouldn't be home for three more nights. He didn't like that very much and became very sad. Life has been pretty good to us lately so this has kind of taken us for a spin. I will have more updates in the next couple days. Thanks for all your support.

I finished my first triathlon and I had so much fun! I swam 1/4 mile, biked 10 miles and ran 5k. I really enjoyed it and want to do it again next year. My parents came down to support me and Wes and the kids came too. I was so glad they were all there. My sister ran a 1/2 marathon that same day and she did great! We had lots of fun. My mom decided to run with me at the very end. She is such a good mom. And I wanted to especially thank my friend Lindsey who got me to do it in the first place and helped me out with training.
Jackson went to his first day of preschool today. He was so excited and looked so handsome. He would not let me walk him to the door. He wanted to do it all by himself. This is the necklace he made today out of straws and beads. He was so pleased with it. He is such a sweet boy with a lot of will power. We are so happy to have him in our family. We love you Jackson!
Last Sunday Jackson came home from his primary class with a list of chores he could do around the house. So the other day, he woke up and completed everything on the list, which included:
Look how pretty our front yard is. Wes does such a good job of planting the flowers and watering them and making them look good while I relax and read my book. Isn't he such an awesome husband?
Pretty tomatoes from our garden.
Our garden-the strawberries aren't doing too well, but it is their first year. The corn is tall, but has no corn husks on it as of yet. We think we will not get any. But the rest of our vegies are doing quite well. Wes planted our garden and takes care of it. He is quite the greenthumb.
Jackson and our apple tree-they are just starting to get some color on them.
